Meet Me at Midnight

A little experiment…

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the characters in a book made different choices? If the heroine went with the safe option rather than risking everything? I'm as guilty as anyone about second-guessing my decisions and freaking out in case I made the wrong one, but I also believe that there's more than one path to happiness, even though each journey will undoubtedly have a few stumbling blocks along the way.

Don't feel bad about the choices you make – they might not turn out as bad as you think. But at the same time, don't be afraid to take the occasional risk.

When I wrote Carbon, I had a play around and with the ending to Augusta’s story. The rest of her life hinged on the decisions she made one fateful night, but with two men to choose from, what would have happened if she'd picked the other guy?

Just for fun, I’ve published that version as a standalone romance novella, Meet Me at Midnight. Well, it might not be fun. I know some people who've read Carbon might not like Augusta's choices so I'll probably cry at the ratings later 🙁

If you’re a fan of dirty romance looking for a quick read, or if you’ve read Carbon and want to find out what happens in the alternate ending with an open mind, you can download Meet Me at Midnight FREE from all retailers at the moment. If you've already read Carbon, skip ahead to chapter twelve—the first eleven chapters are the same in both books.

LOVE Meet Me At Midnight, I felt so bad for Augusta (her Mom needed to get a life!) but the ending was AWESOME (LOVE Ben & Augusta!) LOVE Carbon too, The ending had me laughing about SOME people not telling the truth
