About this ebook

After leaving her fiancé at the altar, all Gabrielle wants is a day alone to reflect on the mistakes she’s made. But when her car breaks down in the small town of Baldwin’s Shore, a day turns into a week, and perhaps—if the goddesses of fate smile kindly—a little longer. But someone from her past has a different plan.

Sheriff’s deputy Colt Haines isn’t looking for love, and he definitely isn’t looking for a flighty blonde to move into his spare room and complicate his life. But his young daughter has other ideas. So too does his heart, and when Gabrielle’s secrets catch up with her, he’s left with no choice but to fight for her future and for his.

As always another mind blowing story from the Baldwin series by Elise Noble. "Secrets Lies and Family Ties " is marked with Mystery, Suspense, Romance, Drama as well as action all woven and blended to one thrilling and exciting book making it the third one in the series although could be read as a standalone but would be better enjoyed to read the other books as they have reoccurring characters for better understanding. Although Brie and Colt are not looking for romance as that's what Brie is running from and her past secrets but can their hearts be ignored? Then there's the little sweet Angel in the form of Kiki. To know more about their story up a copy and I promise you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to read the next story Elise has in store for us.

Delicious drama! This is the second book in a three-book series set in Oregon. I like this one even better than the first one – and that one was really good! Brie and Colt are likeable, down-to-earth characters – which is an extraordinary feat given Brie’s background… I enjoyed the nod to Scandinavia, as well. The story itself is mostly romance this time – but in true Elise Noble fashion, there is also drama, intrigue, and the promise of a lot more mystery in the next book. Who is this Bad Samaritan, who twice now has saved our favorite characters? You will have to read on to find out!

Very enjoyable read. The perfect balance of suspense and romance without in-depth graphic descriptions of either one. Throw in a bit of comic relief from some characters and sub plots and you've got yourself a winner. I always find it adorable when UK authors write books set in the US. There are words and phrases unique to each culture and when US characters are using British terms and slang... I'm sure UK readers find it humorous when the reverse situation occurs.

About the author

Elise Noble is an English rose with a few thorns who loves chocolate, sleep, and well-defined abs. Not hers, unfortunately. She lives near London with a horse who eats all her money and a dog who eats her car keys. Always an avid reader, she took up writing after inspiration struck in an old manor house and still pinches herself over the fact that people read her books.

Elise writes romantic suspense with gutsy women, protective heroes, and a healthy dose of humour.
