A Secret to Die For by Elise Noble. Baldwin's Shore # 4
My thoughts:
This book tells Sara Baldwin's story and as with all Elise Noble's books there is a twist. I really enjoy the author's writing style and storytelling and am always happy to spend time with the characters that make these books so fun to read. I was engaged with Sara's story from the first chapter; from how she came to live with the dysfunctional Baldwin family, to what she wants to do with her life after getting fired from the company she made into a success, to her roller coaster journey to a Happy Ever After with Garrett. We get some updates on the characters from previous books, are introduced to new characters who hopefully will get their own books in the future and don’t forget to follow the instructions at the end of the book for the bonus chapter from the Bad Samaritan point of view. Another great read.
If you are new to Elise Noble's books, please note that Elise Noble writes for broadminded adults with her books dealing with adult themes and adult language.
All the books can be read as stand-alone books.

This book is about Sara, the nicest of the Baldwin clan, because she doesn't have a mean streak in her at all. She worked as an event planner together with her two cousins until they fired her. So Sara lets her friend dress her up as Cinderella to spy on the birthday party her cousins are hosting to enjoy their failures. Little did she know that she'll meet Prince Charming there only to flee from him Cinderella style before the masks had to be dropped at the party. When running from the party she overcomes a man she only calls the monster, someone who's haunting her for 16 years but she wasn't allowed to talk about it until now.
It's a super thrilling story and while I'm still confused about the Baldwin family, Elise gives us the chance to know them better. Saralisa is a troubled soul that finally learns to trust and yay on another mission for the Bad Samaritan.
I absolutely enjoyed this ARC and I've never read s book from Elise I didn't love so yes it's another 5 star review but still an honest one.

A Secret To Die For takes the reader back to Baldwin Shores. Sara and Garrett’s love story is enchanting. Sara is not suppose to be at a costume/masked birthday party. Garrett is attracted to Cinderella. And she calls him Prince Charming. As the masks are about to come off, Sara runs into the garden to escape. At this point she sees the monster from her childhood and she loses one of her bedazzled shoes. Garrett finds the shoe and starts a search to find Sara and is successful. They are falling in love and then there is an attempt on Sara’s life. I found this book to be filled with puzzle pieces. Each piece can be identified as an unresolved murder, death, wealth, greed, power, fear, mystery and intrigue as well as, passion, romance, love and compassion. As pieces of the puzzle come together, it is realized that all evidence can be explained away. The Bad Samaritan leaves a note: BE PATIENT!

This was another fascinating tale woven by Elise Noble. If you haven't read any of the earlier Baldwin Shore series I highly recommend you do, though they are not necessary. Elise has a way of drawing the reader in so they feel the action and intrigue in all of her stories.

This sexy, steamy take on the Cinderella story kept me up reading all night - it was so good that I couldn't put the book down! Set in Baldwin Shores, we are privy to Saralisa's backstory and current romance with Prince Charming aka Prince Darkness aka Garrett. The story moves along with a bit more on-page sex than Elise's previous books but all is good as we navigate Saralisa's messy family situation, her employment woes, new friends, and a potentially deadly secret from her past. Luckily the bad Samaritan shows up to deliver a "happily ever after" ending to this modern fairy tale.

A captivating read from Elise Noble, who has based this romantic mystery suspense tale on Cinderella, complete with a dreamy Prince Charming. Sara Baldwin is Cinderella, a sad, lonely person with horrible relatives at the beginning of the book, but totally different by the end. As always with books by Elise, the characters are well crafted, there is plenty of snarky humour, a good story, and a lot of fun as wrongs are finally righted. I couldn't put it down.
This is book 4 of Baldwin's Shore. While each story is complete on its own, they are much more enjoyable read in sequence. Pick them up, they are all well written and entertaining.

The Baldwin's Shore team is back in a passionate action novel.
After the first few chapters, mainly dedicated to Sara's and Garret's mutual attraction, the story turns into a fast-paced, often hilarious action novel.
Some serious undertones are embedded in the storyline; victims, especially women, are not always believed and end up feeling like they have to cope with situations on their own.
Luckily, the female residents of Baldwin's Shore are a force to be reckoned with when they come to the rescue.
Last but not least, the lingering presence of the Bad Samaritan gives the story a mesmerizing undertone, hinting at new, intriguing developments.

A Secret to Die For is the fourth book in the incredible Baldwin’s Shore series. It can be read as a perfect stand-alone although there is an on going storyline and recurring characters.
Sara is a Baldwin by name only and her life is falling apart. Then she gatecrashes a masked party and meets Prince Charming .. that’s when her life really changes.
This is a fantastic book full of wonderful characters with a storyline that covers everything from murder to glitter. Elise Noble writes with both grit and heart then adds her unique blend of sass and quirky. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely recommend it.

November 6, 2023As with all books by Elise Noble, I thoroughly enjoyed this instalment in the Baldwin Shores series. While it can be read as a stand alone book I do recommend reading the rest of the books in the series for background on the other characters. As always, the story is fast paced, well written with great characters. It is so easy to immerse yourself in the story and want to read non stop until the end. We'll do E once again, Elise Noble.

I enjoyed this story very much and read the whole book in one day as I could barely put it down. It has a lot of substance regarding what happened to Sara, as well as other characters. It also re-introduces several Baldwin Shores characters from other books and has ties to other stories.
It does have more graphic on the page sex than many other Elise Noble books, but it fits into the story.
You don’t have to read the other stories to enjoy this one, but why wouldn’t you?!

A fantastic addition to the Baldwin’s Shore series.
I read this cover to cover and loved the introduction of new characters to complement the existing ones. Mystery, drama and a little spice to keep you highly entertained. Elise never disappoints.

Sara Baldwin is sick of the life that she's been forced to live for the last 16 years. Paralyzed with fear after the deaths of her parents and an attempt on her life, she has kept to the background to try and stay safe.

Another book in a brilliant series. I had been looking forward to Sara's story since she made friends with the other characters in the series. Elise didn't disappoint a superb plot, outstanding characters, and a brilliant setting. I laugh and cry with the characters, and hold my breath when they are in danger. As always, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

Sweet read, you want to read in one day. This can be a stand alone but you would enjoy Sara and Baldwins shore better if you have background from earlier books. Sara was just a minor character in earlier books it is great that she got her own story told, and what a story. A book full of intrigue and romance. I received a free copy of this book to review.

Right from the beginning Paulo had me chuckling. I love the humor in this book; the way the characters just click is so good. Couple that with suspense, a bit of fear, and a great romance and you've got the best book ever. An entertaining and great read. If you love good books I highly recommend this whole series.

Oh wow once again I’m spellbound by another fabulously hot and spicy story in the Baldwin shore series. This is Sara’s and Garretts book. This book will pull at your heartstrings and have you questioning wether he’s a devil in disguise or her saviour. Once you start this series you’ll want to not stop until you’ve read all the books so far. Excellent storytelling from Ms Noble.

A secret to die for, is another interesting read from Elise, a page turning hard to drop book.
Sarah Baldwin believes keeping quiet and living a low life will protect her the monster, until she met Garret and life as she knows it turn around. Very sweet anf funny story to the end.

This modern day fairy tale is filled with fantastic characters that you love, a set of wicked stepsister you hate, witty dialog, and suspense. If you are an Elise fan you will love the reappearance of favorite characters and references to some of her other series of books. Another entertaining and great read!

Another amazing book from Elise! I loved Sara and Garett and everyone else from Baldwin's Shore. This modern twist on Cinderella was exactly what I needed to get my fix of Elise's work. Can't wait for the next book!

Amazing book as always! I loved Sara and Garrett! I really liked watching their characters and their relationship unfold. Also love the way Elise writes her books to open up several avenues for the next book. I cant wait for the next one to be released!!

Twisting fairytale with a Darker Prince Charming who you can help but love and a Cinderella whose fighting for her life against her crazy family and her past. Garret and Saralisa are a perfect match with explosive chemistry that has a kinky edge! The characters are written and developed so well and both have such depth. Lots of steam that make you want to edge over towards a darker side of passion! Political thriller plot that truly exposes the ugly underbelly of Politics and what power and greed do to people. Will Cinderella and Charming find their Happily Ever-after? Will the Bad Samaritan save the day?

I truly love everything written by Elise Noble and this book is no different. Baldwin Shores series is to die for the characters all have their own stories to tell and Sara's stories is so intriguing. Her parents murder and her almost murder who would have thought she would see the monster 16 years after the fact. And on the night she meets Prince Charming will she get her happily ever after or will she have to forfeit love to hide from the monster from her past?
