Elise Noble is an English rose with a few thorns who loves chocolate, sleep, and well-defined abs. Not hers, unfortunately. She lives near London with a horse who eats all her money and three dogs who eat everything else.

Elise writes real, gutsy heroines and flawed but swoon-worthy heroes in stories that mix mystery and mayhem, humour and happily-ever-afters.

As with all Elise’s other books I loved it all! Quick read, I read it in one night! Wished it was longer but I enjoyed an update on one of the other characters in a previous book, and always love the little snippets of crossover mentions from her other series! Can’t wait for the next full book of the series to come out!

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book

After reading the first full length installment of this series, it was nice to get a closer look at Lauren, the friend, in this novella. It doesn't necessarily follow the Blackstone House storyline, but still has some of the characters from Hard Lines.
Great storyline once again, enjoyable characters, a little suspense (not as much as Hard Lines) and a happily ever after. I'm not usually a fan of novellas (which is why not 5 stars) as I find they're over too soon, but it managed to fit everything in

This Blackstone House novella turns the spotlight on romance writer Lauren, best friend of Hollywood's new star, Violet Miller. Burned too many times by people who want to date her or be her friend just to get close to Violet, Lauren is in a slump and has writers block. Forcing herself to actually get dressed and leave the safety of her home to write in the local coffee shop, she looks for her muse, scribbling imaginary romantic interludes with the men she sees around her as she searches for that spark in both her life and her writing. While she goes to Hollywood events with A-lister Kane Sanders and is in a lukewarm relationship with boyfriend Theo, she still feels adrift. Then super-hot gym owner Cristian walks into the coffee shop and suddenly Lauren's writing is sizzling on the page again, although her super fan, Mario, is getting a bit disturbing. Elise Noble brings her deft touch to these characters, crafting engaging dialogue that keeps you turning the pages, eager to see what happens next. While for Elise, this is a novella, it is still over 100 pages long and packs a lot of story in. Treat yourself, it's fun.

I knew this was just a novella but it's just like every other book by Elise that I couldn't stop reading because her characters are the best.

Lauren is an author who's best friend is Violet Miller a famous movie star but since the spotlight hit her, she's dealing with yucky pics from guys via on a daily basis. She loves to write at Cafe au LA and that's where she watches Cris who makes the words flowing from her pen with new ideas for her next book. Little did she know that he noticed her as well.. so when she returns his wallet, he gifts her a yearly membership for his fitness center and that's when it's getting interesting.

Thank you very much for the chance to read and review in advance. This is my honest review, I loved this book!

Blurred lines is a stand-alone novella related to the Blackstone House Romantic suspense series.

Author Lauren is struggling to write so she forces herself to go to the same cafe every day to write. She is surrounded by men, has a Luke warm relationship and attends glitzy events with an A-list actor. It is only when Christian walks into the cafe that inspiration starts flowing. If only the other problems could be fixed that easily.

This is a great read, whilst it is billed as a novella it is actually a longer read than that. The characters are fabulous and the storyline is very interesting and keeps you guessing. Elise Noble is a fabulous author and I highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great Novella!

This novella was a bit different from Elise Noble's norm. There is more of an erotica feel to this book since Lauren is always writing little fantasies that pop into her head. She and Christian are drawn to one another upon first sight. Christian takes steps to ensure that it isn't just a visual encounter.

It was nice to have this different type of story to show how versatile Elise Noble is as an author. It is a novella in the Blackstone House series, so characters known from that appear in this story, but this book does not continue that overarching storyline.

Lauren Rossi is a down on her luck romance writer when a chance encounter at a local coffee shop leads to a hot romance, a creepy stalker, and a happy ending. This novella was a quick and enjoyable read: as always, Elise's characters jump off the page & you find yourself cheering on their successes and moaning in sympathy at their foibles. I read this book in a single setting and loved every minute of it! It can be read as a stand alone tale but readers will enjoy it even more if they read the rest of the Blackstone House books first.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.

This is a quick little update (novella) ok what's going on in Baldwin falls. This is Theo and Lauren's story. We met these characters previously in the series. But this novella can be a stand alone as well.
I'm absolutely obsessed with this series (as I always am with Nobles books). Novellas usually aren't my favorite because usually I feel like by the time you get into the story it's ending. However, this one felt like whole story line was well developed snd nothing seemed rushed.
As far as Baldwin falls goes I can't wait to see where this story line is going
I love these characters! This whole series is a definite must read!

I love Elise Noble's work and am eagerly following this new Blackstone series.
Lauren is a romance novelist who has finally been able to make a living writing books. Typically Lauren has had bad luck with her own romances and has to use her imagination to it's hilt in her writing.
Currently though her own life is providing a heap of ideas with a boyfriend, a stalker and a intriguing new comer to the scene.
In typical Elise fashion we are taken on a wee ride to find out what happens to Lauren. Only issue I have is that it is a novella so while well written it's too short lol

In Blurred Lines, Elise Noble explores with irony and a sense of humor how Lauren, the protagonist, draws inspiration from observing ordinary people, for instance, the customers of a local coffee shop.
None of them enters her thoughts twice as she separates fantasy and reality until she doesn't. Add a supportive group of friends, a nasty stalker, and a disappointing boyfriend. Blurred Lines is an entertaining comedy, perfect for those who are in the mood to read a book with a high dose of steamy content.

This is a quick read and a sweet story. A chance meeting in a coffee shop evolves to form the story of Lauren and Cristian. If you are looking for the action-packed adventure from many of Elise’s other stories, this is not that. This is a novella under the Blackstone House series. However, there is still a stud, a little drama, and a lot of hot romance. As a bonus, other Elise Noble characters are mentioned, which is always fun.

Is it possible to fall in lust at first sight? Romantic author Lauren Rossi is in a dry spell until she spots her muse in a coffee shop! He’s hot and Lauren finds multiple ways to describe the sexual fantasy’s for her next book.
Not lucky in her own personal relationships, Lauren thinks she has met the one. She has also acquired an online stalker. Can her luck be turned around? Only time will tell.
A hot fun love story!

Once again this author never disappoints. Loved seeing this story play out. As always plenty of misdirects and intrigue. Really enjoyed following their lives and seeing past favourites. This series just keeps getting better and better. Now I really can’t wait to see what happens next. Bravo Ms Noble. Awesome

Sweet romantic novella

No plot spoilers
No potential triggers
There is some swearing and there are some sex scenes.
The characterisation is perfect, I totally adored both lead characters.
The plotline feels like a predictable trope but the author veers off to my delight.
If you have read anything by the author and enjoyed it, then you will probably enjoy this book too.

Like everything written by Elise I love and they are always so engaging. Even though this is short it was excellent and had you wondering who was Mario right to the end. And usually you do find true love when you least expect it and Lauren did just that, who would have thought Mr Right was there from day one.

Blurred lines is a steamy, hot and quick read. As with Elise's other books this one has characters you love or hate, a hot romance and while the story has no loose ends you are still left wanting more! Blurred Lines could be read as a standalone book, but by the end you will want to check out the other books in the Blackstone House series.

Smoking Hot!! Quirky romance writer meets brooding Ex-Marine. Loved the writer angle and the insight into being a writer and seeing their methods for storytelling. The characters were great and the story line was intriguing! Plenty of funny, sexy and suspenseful moments!

Blurred Lines is a fun follow up novella to Hard Lines. Lauren has not been lucky in love but her dirty fantasies have given her a sideline career as a romance writer. A sexy story with a creepy stalkerand lots of laughs.

Ms. Noble has done it again!
This book is a great example of romantic suspense. The plot was handled beautifully, with a little spice thrown in to make it more interesting. The characters gave me the great feeling of comfort that you love to experience in a romance novel.

As always a wonderful book from Elise Noble...only complaint...too short. Quick moving and a tad bit spicy. I kinda liked an author as a character...gave a different point of view.

I always enjoy books by this author. I've given 4.5 stars (rounded down to 4) as it didn't quite hit the 5-star mark for me.
As a novella in the Blackstone House series, I was hoping for a few more secrets to be revealed about Blackstone House and perhaps more adventure and action outside a bedroom. Maybe that's just me or I wasn't concentrating properly on the story. It is a different series after all.

Having said that, I still enjoyed the story and will probably read it again to see if I missed something. The characters are always interesting and the storyline flows well. I do recommend books by Ms Noble and especially her Blackwood Security series if you want more action and adventure.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book and the opinions are my own.

Although this was a quick read, it keeps you wanting more! Loved that it was told from an authors perspective so you can understand what an author goes through. Was a little creeped out to find out who the stalker was, but happy with the turn out!
I received an advanced copy in return for a review.
