Elise Noble is an English rose with a few thorns who loves chocolate, sleep, and well-defined abs. Not hers, unfortunately. She lives near London with a horse who eats all her money and three dogs who eat everything else.

Elise writes real, gutsy heroines and flawed but swoon-worthy heroes in stories that mix mystery and mayhem, humour and happily-ever-afters.

According to Elise, this story was conceived for a contest where one had to include a mutant plant in the storyline. Well – challenge accepted and then some! How Elise’s imagination comes up with the stories is beyond me, but I am definitely not complaining. This is a stand-alone story, unattached to the other series, except for a small reference to a character in another book.

Rhys and Coco should never have met, but those make the best romances, don’t they? One of the aspects of this story I really enjoyed was how the small worlds of Rhys and Coco as individuals expanded to be a world-wide adventure when they were together. Their influence also changed the lives of several other people. And, as always, I loved the part where the bad guy gets what’s coming. This time in a rather creative fashion…

Mutant trees, clones, love and a bit of revenge, who could ask for more?

A thoroughly enjoyable read, with characters you’d want to meet in real life.

A bit different from Elise’s other books, but the usual level of interesting storyline. Highly recommended.

Oh my goodness, Author Elise Noble has one truly creative writing streak and even though this is not her usual direction it still contains so many of the similar genres she includes into her storylines, that is mystery, romance, action, humour and a strong link to friendships and teamwork.

Interestingly this story also includes the genre of mystic beliefs, supernatural, second life... actually not quite sure what you want to call it, but something very interesting to give readers a truly wonderful reading experience in this stand alone novel.
I guess for myself I was first drawn to the story because of the idea of a rather rare and highly unusual pair of trees being nurtured by a very devoted and endearing Uncle character. But as much as I thought I may have worked out the so called mystery I was off course. But that is what makes this story so enjoyable as there were so many twists and turns to the mystery elements within the story.
Again wonderful characters always seems to be a stand out element of Elises's works and simply love how united they become for a shared vision. Ask yourself... what if you had the opportunity to relive your life?

I was provided with an advanced readers copy for a fair and honest review.

I didnt even know what this book was about when I signed up to read it, but as soon as I saw a new Elise Noble book I signed up to read it. I dont want to give too much of the book away because reading this book is like opening a present. There are so many layers, and surprises around every corner. This book sways from the blackwood series but I am totally ok with it! It has the normal themes of action, thriller, romance, humor, and suspense. I also learned a ton from this book for example I learned a new French curse word and that myans thought rainbows were God's flatulence! Also it made me want to try marmite which coming from California I knew nothing about. This is another great Elise Noble book that must be read! It's a stand alone book with no cliffhanger.

Beautifully written as usual, although markedly different from usual Elise style and characters. Hope to see all of them in this book more in the Planes series in the future. Remi and Bones are gems!

When I began this book I was a little unsure, the author wrote in the third person and states at it's conclusion that she finds it hard to do so. I believe she achieved her aim with the new writing style. As the plot unfolded I found myself hooked into the story. My initial bias quickly forgotten to a very unusual, slightly ghostly story with an old friend getting a mention towards the end. A very good one-off story from a much loved author

Engaging tale

No plot spoilers
No real potential triggers although there is a murder that is re-lived in some detail that could prove distressing for some readers.
There is some swearing and some sex scenes lightly written.
The characterisation is good with individual personalities and motivators that allows the reader to form a connection.
I loved Rhys, from the almost cartoonish thoughts running through his mind in the first quarter of the book to the pulled together man at the end.
Coco was a harder character to like purely because the nature of her life means there little to draw on initially. However, I did like her character too, it just took a little longer.
The plotline is truly whacked and I can honestly say I loved it.
It's not Blackwood, there are no Blackwood characters and still I loved it.
There is romance, slow burn but still romance.
Would I recommend the book?
Yes most definitely.

"Coco du Ciel is a standalone romantic suspense novel with magical realism elements"

Everything I have read by Elise Noble has been amazing - so hard to put down once you start. There are things like sleep to consider at times after all 🤣. A perfectly paced read.

This story is a little different with a supernatural/magical element but still contains a combination of mystery, romance, action and humour in Elise Noble's inimitable style.

Each of the characters are unique and endearing (well except for the villain of the story of course). These characters really come to life on the page. It was refreshing to have the main two characters Rhys and Coco as ordinary people.

I highly recommend reading this book and every other book by this author.

An intriguing concept
Rhys is a normal bloke living a very average life thinking nothing special will ever happen when he falls into the strangest adventure while housesitting and looking after his uncle's innumerable plants in deepest Wales. Here he is with one of his uncle's prized plants damaged and a naked lady with amnesia alongside it. His genuinely kind nature takes Rhys and Coco on an up and down ride as they try to find out what has happened, who Coco is, and what to do next. While the story starts out slower than most of Elise Noble's books, it is engaging, well-written and has very relatable characters. Take it for a spin, it has Elise's trademark twists and turns and is worth reading.

I was looking forward to reading something new from Elise and she didn't disappoint!

Rhys is house and plant sitting for his uncle in Wales when he finds the precious fruit of the Coco du Ciel palm tree smashed on the ground plus a special surprise.

A naked woman who lost her memory hides in the greenhouse and Rhys does everything to help her to get her identity and her life back. Things aren't looking too bright until Rhys travels to France..

There they find answers they never expected and more problems to solve.

I couldn't stop reading, this story is unbelievable yet so exciting 👏

I received an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I read Coco in one sitting, truthfully,  I COULD NOT put this book down!  I loved the concept,  I loved the characters,  I loved the revenge and the sweet, sweet justice.

Rhys is plant sitting for his uncle when he finds a naked and confused girl in the green house.   Discovering who Coco really is takes them from Wales,  to France,  to the USA.  The story goes back generations and includes a secluded Brazilian tribe deep in the Amazon,  a reclusive biotechnology billionaire and a couple juicy scandals.  With a little fantasy, a little romance and a whole lot of "whodunit" I think this book will appeal to a variety of readers.
Thank you Elise, for writing another of my favorites.

Coco du Ciel doesn't have a definite genre. The author's inspiration exploits a paranormal lead to soar freely and create an intriguing, captivating story that is a pleasure to read.
The plot is fast-paced and twisted, keeping the reader engaged at all times. The characters are well defined, each one of them with a three-dimensional stance evoking diverse emotions. Coco, Rhys, Remi, Celine, and the entire cast of characters will entertain, move and intrigue the readers taking them on a journey that will leave them smiling.
Despite the seriousness of some parts of the narration, the tone is always light and, at times, ironic, making Coco di Ciel a perfect summer read.

Coco du ciel another new story from Elise is a stand alone although it took a different direction from her other stories, it still manages to incorporate the mystic, romance and adventure that she always takes us on in all her books.

The last thing Rhys thought he did do when he agreed to house sit for his uncle and care for his plants was to find a nake beautiful girl in the Green House with no memory as to who she is or how she got there. If you want to know more on how they were able to discover who she is or how she came to appear among the fruits, then pick up a copy and you'll be glad you did as Ms Noble never disappoints.

“COCO DU CIEL” is spellbinding story based on the Karaza tribe’s belief that the coco du ciel trees could bring their warriors back to life. Did the indigenous people that live deep in the Amazon rainforest really gift Rhys’ great grandmother two trees?
The appearance of a mysterious young woman with amnesia starts Rhys Evans on an investigation to find out her identity. Searching for answers leads both Rhys and Coco, an adopted name, on an adventure with many strange twists and turns. They find answers as well as love.

Elise Noble is a brilliant writer with a fantastic imagination. Once again she leads the reader on an incredible journey.
An entertaining book, I really enjoyed the intrigue. This is a standalone book.

Wow this was different. I wasn’t sure what to make of it to start with but once I got into the story I was absolutely hooked! The concept is so far out there that it’s incredibly brilliant. As the story progresses you get drawn in and you can’t stop reading because it’s so fascinating. The characters were different for Ms Noble but it was refreshing and exciting. I absolutely loved this book. I kinda want to know more. I’d love to see a novella maybe with Rochelle and Bryn maybe and a catch up with the others. Great story.

What a rollercoaster!!
Rhys makes a very unusual discovery while plant sitting for his eccentric uncle. Finding a naked woman in the greenhouse isn't what you'd expect, especially one with amnesia. Their search for her identity takes them through multiple countries and across two continents, were with the help from new acquaintances they discover Coco's secrets.
This is different from Elise Noble's usual detective novels, with a twist of supernatural. A very enjoyable light read.

Coco Du Ciel is an original stand-alone book from a brilliant author. This is probably one of the strangest books I have read and I really was not sure about it for quite a while but I’m glad I kept reading. Rhys and Coco are great characters with an incredible story. As they go looking for answers they find more questions that take them away from Wales and towards an unbelievable future. Elise Noble never fails to grab her readers and take them on an adventure, this time that adventure is truly magical. I definitely recommend this book.

I first read this book years ago on Wattpad loved it than and now it got even better. Elise never lets me down when it comes to her novels. Murder, mystery, and romance this story maybe a little more on the sci-fi side but still has the Elise signature characters. Handsome guy helps solve beautiful girl's murder they fall in love during the investigation with some humour in between.

Wow!!! This book was so not what I expected, but it was sooooooo much better!
As I read the book there were so many ties to other books and I found myself finding a ton of story line branches, 3 that I really can’t wait to read!!!
My fave character is Bones, although I loved them all.
If you like paranormal activity, alternate reality, romance and some sexual activity, this is definitely the book for you!!!

As always Elise did not disappoint! I know this is supposed to be part of the planes series but defiantly could be read as a stand alone! You would not need to read the first book to understand what’s going on in this book! As always I am a sucker for a good love story and Rhys seems like the perfect gentleman!
This book catches your interest and keeps you guessing! I can’t wait to see what she comes out twitch next

Coco du Ciel by Elise Noble

I found this story exceptionally intriguing, the whole concept is like no other and drives you to keep reading to find out what will happen next. Quite a different direction to Elise’s Blackwood series which is one of my all time favorites but still a very enjoyable read.

Great

I thought this was a great book. It was so very different than any of Elise's other books. Its fun reading new story types. Although Back and Emmy books are my absolute favotites I think its great that Elise stretched her mind out to a different genre which was hard for her and pulled it off. Great job Elise!

Rhys is introvert, shy, slightly awkward but so kind and thoughtful. Lovely to have a hero who doesn't fit the normal cliché. Coco is bewildered, lost and strong, a brilliant character. Elise doesn't just write Characters well, the plot and various settings sing. The paranormal is just a small part of the story but makes it so interesting. Loved it.

Elise Noble is not what you expect of her. And this book proves it. It's not paranormal, but it is. And it's not romance but it is. It's a really good multi layered book telling a really interesting story.

If you're looking for steamy sexscenes, you're not going to find them in here, but really, you won't miss them.

This was such an interesting read! It’s so unlike Elise’s other books, but it was really well written and the story plot keeps you interested the whole time. I enjoyed the characters and thought there were plenty of plot twists. Overall, it’s an enjoyable book and ties in nicely with her Vampire in Vegas book.

A simple job house sitting for his uncle, watering his greenhouse full of plants suddenly turned into an adventure into the supernatural. Trying to find out where the mystery girl came from led Rhys into a strange tale of superstition and legend. Elise has it done again. Loved this new storyline and hope to catch up with Rhys, Coco, Remi and Celina again
