As a woman in Afghanistan, Ziya Khalizai has no choice but to marry the man chosen for her. Perhaps it won’t be so bad? He did promise to protect what was left of her family, after all. But promises get broken, and futures get destroyed. Ziya’s spirit? Luckily, she still has that.

This is the 5th in the electi series and I only have one word. OMG! Ok technically that's 3 words but anyways this book is amazing!! Even though it's the 5th in the series it could be read as a stand alone, but trust me. Don't do it!! You'll want all the back ground goodies to make the story even better.
I cant tell you how much I learned from this book! For example before the teliban took over in the 50s woman had the right to vote a year before we did in usa??? That blew my mind! I love reading a book and coming out a better person because of it. And I truly feel like this book did that for me.
It was written in Elise nobles normal catch you by the throat and not release. Like all her books are. Not to mention this series is amazing but I feel this book had something a little extra and special in it! This is a must read and I HIGHLY recommend it! 5+*s

I love that the team is finally together! Can’t wait for their next adventure and crossover with the others in this paranormal world :)

I do wish that the stark reality of the how things are in Ziya’s home country is just an imagination, though. Reading the bad things done in the name of a religion that I belong to is truly and really hard.

Judged is a book I was sorry to have finished, I enjoyed so much reading it!
It has everything everyone wants in a novel. First of all, a great story.
Ms. Noble mixes a serious and deserving theme, the suffering of the population and the conditions of poor people in Afghanistan, with a fast-paced adventure plot and a cast of vivid, lively, and intriguing characters.
The newest members of the Electi team, Ro and Ziya, are no exception. Ro is an unexpected former special ops operator with a passion for history, a smart, dangerous, yet compassionate man.
Ziya is sweet, witty, and intelligent.
After her father's death, the former medical student accepted an arranged marriage in the hope of guaranteeing protection for her family. Instead, she is now estranged from her relatives. Her days are now miserable and subdued, sharing her new house with three older wives. When her life intertwines with Ro's, she has a renewed chance to regain ownership of her fate. The pages describing her feelings at this unprecedented freedom are sweet and moving.
Suddenly, Ziya and Ro find themselves engaged in a quest to stop a terrorist group, also, after a sudden change of scene, with the support of the entire Electi team.
This second part of the book is a story within the story, loud, passionate, and more than a little inventive, gluing everyone to the page and delighting the faithful followers of the series.
Once again, Ziya reveals as an incredibly captivating character. Exposed for the first time in her life to the western world, she surprises with her innocence, empathy, and compassion, all the more unexpected in a young woman that has only been through the war in her life.
The grand finale of the Electi saga will delight Ms. Noble's affectionate readers and captivate many new ones, leaving most sorry that the story has come to an end. But then, is this really the end? Only time will tell.

Romance, Intrigue, Suspense set against world events.
Judged by Elise Noble

In anticipation of this last book in the Electi series, I decided to read the previous books in this series before this book's publication date, to familiarize myself again with the various characters and the over reaching story arc. In this last book we are introduced to Ro (Rohan) and Ziya, follow their journey and the final puzzle pieces, of what is "the Electi" and what is their role, fall into place. This is a fast paced, action packed international thriller with lots of twists and turns. We meet up again with characters from the previous books and get a glimpse into what their future may be like. Team Electi is a winner. 5 stars.

I like Elise Noble's writing style and story telling ability and each of the books in this series has it's own vibe. It is not necessary to have read any of the previous books in this series as all the books are stand-alone books with no cliff hangers; there is enough back ground information to follow along with the story. In my opinion the reader misses the nuances in the overall story line by not reading the previous books.

Book 1 Cursed ( Rania & Will 's story),
Book 2 Spooked (Kimberley & Reed's story),
Book 3 Possessed (Nicole and Beckett's story),
Book 4 Demented (Iris & Marcus's story).
Book 5 Judged (Rohan & Ziya's story)

What a truly stirring story... certainly one to really draw on your emotions partially because of the connectivity to real day living that occurs for the Afghanistan community and the loss of what was once a thriving equitable society. This story was a great balance of true life experiences set in both Afghanistan and then further a field with a thought provoking concept of what ifs.
Again, author Elise Noble creates wonderful characters that you will admire and certainly some of them you would hope do exist in some part in society. Yes, I'm talking heroes in their own way.
A history lesson is provided for the reader in respect to the social standings and insight of Afghanistan's society and the respect that once was given to the female population and makes you question the destruction and negative impact of how religion has severely crippled this country.
To the other creative issue involved with this story and the series overall, regarding The Electi and The Judge it opens a great avenue of 'what ifs' that leaves one wondering how complex life on earth could be, if this was the case of spirits not being able to be free to move on!
This has been a terrific series and highly recommend it if you enjoy the paranormal romance, mystery genres.

All of the books I have read by Elise Noble have been captivating and hard to put down. This 5th book in the Electi series is no exception.

I did struggle slightly at the beginning with keeping track of characters with tongue twisting Afghani names, but kept a list I could refer back to, eventually working out who was integral to the story and who wasn't.

My interest in the story really took off when the main character Ro finally got some answers about his strange "gift" of seeing ghosts and meeting the Electi girls - first by phone, then video link, then in person. I loved the developing relationship between Ro and Ziya.

I fell in love with the Electi girls and their partners with all their unique characters. I have read the previous 4 Electi books but I might have to read them again now to remind myself of their back story!

My favourite quote from the book?

"Beck had rented an extra SUV at the airport, and we’d stopped at a hardware store to stock up on the essentials— zip ties, duct tape, nylon cord, a couple of drop cloths. Knives, screwdrivers, a hammer. A blowtorch."

Ok, so I have a dark sense of humour!

Highly recommended reading, especially if you like a touch of the supernatural.

I don’t read paranormal but I decided to try this one because Elise is just such an awesome writer, I cannot put her books down. And although I couldn’t really get into the paranormal side of it, the book did not disappoint and I read through the night. Ghosts are real but having a person on earth “free” them by killing their murderer – not so much. But it makes for an interesting and very different story which is much closer to reality than the majority of paranormal tales out there. And Elise is absolutely the best storyteller ever.
Although this is the final book in a series, it can definitely be read as a standalone book. I have not read the rest of the books in the series, yet but like me, you might just want to read up on the other characters afterwards out of curiosity. As always, all the characters in the book are absolutely believable, even the ghosts. The only bits I couldn’t relate to was the accidental super powers towards the end of the book.
I just love Elise’s ability to weave together mystery, adventure, action, romance, mayhem and now even the paranormal into a good thriller and keep me hooked from the first paragraph. I am also amazed at the amount of research Elise must have done regarding life in Afghanistan over different periods. This is definitely a book worth reading!

Amazing!
The final piece of the puzzle - or more precisely the final pieces of the Electi puzzle. Although it might not be the final book in the Electi series.

But what an amazing piece of the puzzle! Even though the last book gave a glimpse of what would happen in “Judged” it was just that - a tiny glimpse and the story was so much more than that!
As always I loved the characters, the research thoroughness by Elise that educates me as a reader, the writing itself - the images Elise paints in my mind with her words, the humour, the seriousness of the underlying theme and the love story.
I’ve already read it twice and find my self laughing out loud, reading sequences to my family and even on the second read the story captivates me.

The Electi series is highly recommend- even if you’re not usually into the supernatural stories - this is so much more than that! And “Judged” is the perfect last piece of the story - although judging by the cliffhanger in the epilogue I’m sure more amazing stories are to come - and I’m already looking forward to it! So if you haven’t read the first 4 books in the Electi series (Cursed, Spooked, Possessed and Demented) - get started and you’ll not regret it!

Of course the Judge is man😱

No, really Elise, amazing!
Ro is perfect for the judge, he brings way so much to the table, years of experience with special forces, as well as humanity that made him leave the military and decide to learn about cultures looking for understanding for peace. Perhaps he had no idea whom he was, just a psychic individual who saw ghosts.
Ziyah is amazing, almost a doctor, them thrown back into the desegregation of woman in Afghanistan. Property of men, fathers, husband's, uncle's, or brothers, women of Afghanistan have no rights or voice! ( I appreciate the reference to when Afgani women were equals, and we see this in countries that have granted asylum, Drs, Lawyers, Financial Mega, etc)
Ziyah is so strong, her grandmother prepared her, yet the repression she lived under made her question and fear much, yet she holds the key within.
Frankly it was an amazing wrap of the Electi series, and if more, I would absolutely love to read!
As anything you write, Elise Noble, stellar, entralling, completely addictive from the beginning to end!

Absolutely adored every word!

Elise Noble has written another thrilling novel with the 5th Electi book. Set predominantly in Afghanistan, it tells the story of Ziya, who is from a small Afghan village, and Ro, an American former soldier who is disheartened with the military approach and trying to find a way to make a difference while working at Kabul University. That Elise has done plenty of research into daily life in Afghanistan is clear, weaving a realistic background for Ziya and the adventure. It takes a while for Ro and Ziya’s story to intersect, but once it does, there is plenty going on and gradually the link to the Electi is uncovered. Even then, there is a new twist to the story and more to do for the team.

This is a really good read with great characters and plenty of adventure, trials, misfortune, challenges, lucky breaks and the development of Ziya and Ro’s relationship. Elise always writes books that are well developed, entertaining and absorbing. Don’t miss this one. You can read it without reading the earlier books in the series, but it’s better when you know the background.

This book is the fifth and final in the Electi series. The Judge we have heard about in the previous books reveals himself. This book is a little different in that the first half of the book is a gradual building of the storyline and characters beyond what we might have seen in other books. The story shares quite a lot of information about Afghanistan – customs, dress, the role of women and so forth. The second half of the book connects all the dots from previous books in the series and offers a surprise at the end – in true Elise Noble style, leaving connections to future stories in other of her series.

I recommend reading the other four books in this series before reading this one, but it is not necessary to follow the storyline.

Judged by Elise Noble is the fifth and final book of the Electi series. Elise artfully exposes the reality and cruelty of war and oppression that families face in Afghanistan. She further addresses the social issues that women face. But Judged is so much more.
It is an unlikely love story between Ro and Ziya. Ro’s determination to save Ziya from an arranged marriage and certain death sets in motion a dangerous and perilous quest for safety.
It is a story filled astonishing miracles and heroic adventure. Ro, Ziya, and the Electi work together to find Ziya’s brother and stop terrorists.
It is a story of finding peace, a family and coming home.
I really enjoyed Judged with its adventurist twists and turns. It is a good read.

Ro works at an university in Afghanistan and he can see ghosts just like the Electi. We learn more about him and his former military past. He met Ziya when they built a well in the village she lived and they shared one night together and more talking. Now she's the third wife to a douche and pregnant with someone else's baby.
The story gets thrilling when Ro decides to free Ziya and a reporter who's held captive by Ziya's husband.

This book was another amazing read and I know Elise said this is the last book in this series but I still hope she will tell us more about the life of the Electi and the Judge.

Judged is the spectacular fifth and final book in the Electi Series and it was definitely worth waiting for.
This book starts in Afghanistan and at first bears no relation to the previous books but the story gradually and carefully unfolds to reveal the true power of the Electi and the importance of the Judge.
Elise Noble expertly blends difficult issues with the supernatural, adds suspense, action, great characters and romance and this is the outstanding result. I was completely hooked with each book in this series and judged was everything I hoped for and more. I loved it and cannot recommend it highly enough. Definitely a five star book.

I was sceptical about this series in the beginning but once I started it I couldn’t wait for the next book each time one was due. After the last book I wasn’t sure where Elise would take us. I certainly didn’t envisage this direction but it was amazing. It’s set in a different culture and it opens your eyes to the atrocities that happen. What it also was was a beautiful love story. As always with Ms Noble there’s still bodies dying all around them so the action doesn’t ever stop. Wonderful book and series

It was a great book as always! I read the first book of the electi series before this one, but not the three in between! You do not need to read them all to understand it, but it would help you get the feel of the concept of Electi! With that being said it took me a few chapters to get into book, but before I was finished reading Judged I had already purchased and downloaded the other three books in the series! Elise never disappoints! Now I have a couple of books to read while I patiently wait for her newest releases!

Judged another spectacular installment from the Electi series is a thrilling story, full of intrigue, action packed, Romance and suspense predominantly set against real life occurence in Afghanistan.

Ms Noble was able to bring us the people's culture with so many twist and turns with the hints of the paranormal world where the final puzzle of the Electi now came into play and fits perfectly as the book keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the story.

It is a great read and a worth while read which you wouldn't regret.

This book was a wonderful present. I won a signed copy from Elise Noble and it was waiting for me on my birthday. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters including the two different world view points. I also like the supernatural element. To be totally honest I should have read this in series order, but I couldn’t wait to start this one. Now I will have to go back and read the ones I haven’t read. It can be read as a stand alone, but I like the character development from reading a series in order. This was another great read from one of my favorite authors.

Book 5 of The Electi Series

This book is fast paced, action packed and has you on the edge of your seat.
I read this in one sitting as it was too good to put down.
I liked how it delved into other cultures, giving you a small insight into how others live and what they have to go through just to survive.
The supernatural theme through this series is like no other and I love the twists and turns it takes.

An excellent book, I highly recommend it!!

Judged is a brilliant end to this five-book series. I loved the two principal characters who came alive on the pages. Their uncertainties as both their lives were turned upside down, and they tried to understand their new realities. Great to see our friends from the other 4 books join together in this final book. As always Elise writes great, believable characters, brilliant plots and settings that are real. Elise is a masterful story writer. Making the impossible seem possible.

Was waiting impatiently for the last book in the Electi Series and it didn't disappoint. Suspense, love and hella energy.

Rohan and Ziya are on the run from her husband but death is all around them. Can Ziya trust Rohan or has she jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire? And she is pregnant will they come out on the good side or die trying to reach safety?

Good

This was a good book. I enjoyed it but had a hard time not getting distracted while reading, it didn't capture my mind as much as Elise's other books. But sometimes that happens no matter what. So it got 4 stars for that reason alone. Good story and characters and the story taking place in Afghanistan was very interesting.

Great read

What a wonderful end to the series. So much feeling when the Electi met the Judge. The concept of their togetherness, their mission, of being able to dispel negative energy in this world is awesome. Maybe the higher powers will listen!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this book!
