Review: Personal Delivery by Ainsley Booth

The blurb:

She has a crush on the delivery guy. He has a billion-dollar secret.

I recognize the sound of his truck turning off in front of my building.
Not only do I recognize it, but my pulse picks up and I get all hot and bothered. Then I hear the low growl cutting out, followed by the clank of metal as he pulls up the back door to grab my package….
Grab my package?
That sounds so dirty.
Which is probably appropriate given some of the fantasies I’ve had about him.
My obsession with the new, mysterious delivery driver is crazy. Intense. Distracting.
The last thing I need is to be crushing on a six-foot-something distraction with a dirty grin.
But my friends have other plans.

My thoughts:

I've read a few of Ainsley Booth's books and loved them, and when I saw the blurb for this one, I had to one-click on release day!

Jana spends most of her time at home, designing greetings cards with only her cats for company. The monotony's broken up by weekly visits from Dane, the delivery guy who brings packages of work stuff. But Jana makes the mistake of telling her friends he's hot, and soon Dane's delivering daily, everything from cat treats to crotchless panties. Needless to say, things get a little heated between the pair!

Except Dane turns out to be Jake, the CEO of the delivery company, who wants to see what's going on at all levels of his newly acquired business, and Jana realises she's hit the jackpot.

The book managed to be sweet and filthy at the same time – the relationship between Jake and Jana was adorable and felt natural, while their bedroom scenes were deliciously dirty. I would have liked to see a bit more conflict – Jake seemed a bit too good to be true at times – but all-in-all Personal Delivery was an easy read and I loved the writing style.

At the end, there was a nice intro into book two in the series – not a cliffhanger (the second book is about a different couple). I can't wait to read more!

Yep, this would definitely be a one-click book! I have the cats, I just wish I had friends like Jana. Personal Delivery sounds deliciously yummy. This one’s going on my wish list!
